Piemonte\u2019s name means \u201cfoot of the mountain\u201d and, true to the meaning of its name, Piemonte is a land of mountains, surrounded on three sides by the Alps, with the highest peaks and largest glaciers in Italy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Piemonte is known for sophisticated cuisine and wines such as Barolo and Barbera. Turin, the capital, has abundant baroque architecture and the monumental landmark <a href=\"https:\/\/www.museocinema.it\/en\/museum-and-ma-prolo-foundation\/mole-antonelliana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mole Antonelliana<\/a>, with its soaring spire. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.museoauto.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Automobile Museum<\/a> is devoted to Turin\u2019s main industry.
