Montcenisio (Mont Cenis) qui m\u00e8ne en France.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">L\u2019\u00e9glise abbatiale de Saint Juste de Susa, actuellement cath\u00e9drale, fut consacr\u00e9e le 18 octobre 1027. Le 9 juillet 1029, Alrico, \u00e9v\u00eaque de Asti, son fr\u00e8re Olderico Manfredi, marquis de Turin et la comtesse Berta, \u00e9pouse de Manfredi, sign\u00e8rent l\u2019acte de fondation du monast\u00e8re b\u00e9n\u00e9dictin qui s\u2019y rattachait.   <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">La ville poss\u00e8de un march\u00e9 anim\u00e9 tous les mardis \u00e0 Via palazzo di citta&rsquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">La ville a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e dans une position strat\u00e9gique pour le control des voies directes aux Cols du Mont C\u00e9nis et du Mongen\u00e8vre. Les origines de Susa \u00ab Porte d\u2019Italie \u00bb se perdent dans l\u2019histoire. En l\u2019an 500 av. J. C. quand les villes comme Aoste et Turin n\u2019\u00e9taient pas encore fond\u00e9es, \u00e0 Susa il existait d\u00e9j\u00e0 une civilisation celtique gouvern\u00e8e par des Druides. Par la suite romanis\u00e9e, elle eut une grande importance sous l\u2019Empire Romain, suivie d\u2019une p\u00e9riode de d\u00e9cadence jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019invasion et la domination des Francs au VIII \u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Devenue province sous le r\u00e8gne de la Maison de Savoie elle en suivit le destin. Le Giro d\u2019Italia et le Tour de France ont souvent utilis\u00e9 ce col dans leurs \u00e9tapes (le Tour est pass\u00e9 ici 5 fois).
