Jogging & Trail Running

In Sauze d’Oulx there’s a huge arrange of trails and paths for jogging and trail running – whether high up on the mountains, in the Gran Bosco National Park or around the village.

For beginners, an easy trail down through Sauze Old Town and around the village outskirts or take the road towards Gran Villard and Monfol for something a little more testing. A jog or run through the many trails in the Gran Bosco National Park is another popular option. For advanced runners there are the routes up the mountains by the snow-free pistes in summer, or take a chairlift to Sportinia and try some high altitude training along the Strada dell’Assietta.

From Wikipedia

Trail running is a sport which consists of running and hiking over trails. In the United Kingdom and Ireland it is called mountain or fell running. It differs from road running and track running in that it generally takes place on hiking trails, often in mountainous terrain, where there can be much larger ascents and descents
