Public transport from Turin Airport (Torino Caselle) to Sauze d’Oulx is fairly straightforward and the price to do it is quite affordable.

The first part is to get from Turin Airport to Turin Porta Nouva railway station for the train to Oulx
There is a regular and reasonably fast Arriva bus service from the airport to Porta Nuova railway station.
Buses leave every 15 minutes during weekdays and Saturday, and every 30 minutes on Sundays and on public holidays.
Every half hour there’s a fast more direct bus service which takes half an hour or so, the other takes 45 minutes (or more during rush hour).
In 2024 the cost one way €7.50 or round-trip €11 or, for a family, €23 if booked via the Arriva website (below).
You can also buy the ticket at the ticket desk that sells Arriva tickets as you exit the departures area in the airport.
If you buy the ticket onboard the bus you will be charged a €1 surcharge.
Be aware that only the Arriva bus goes to Port Nuova railway station and not the Flibco bus.
As you exit the airport departures turn right. At the end you will see the bus stop. There’s a small digital departures display on the pillar from where it leaves. You may be required to load your own luggage into the hold storage section.
This is where you will get the train to Oulx and the bus to from Oulx to Sauze d’Oulx
The bus stop is in front of the railway station. Cross the road and enter the railway station.
Inside Porta Nuova Station you will find a variety of places to get a drink, buy some food and there’s even a supermarket (Esselunga).
Trains leave hourly from the station for Oulx (Sauze d’Oulx) on weekdays, two hourly on Sundays and holidays.
To buy a ticket either use the machines in the railway station or buy online or via the app.
There is now the Vialattea Link which enables you to buy a combined rail and bus ticket from Turin to Sauze d’Oulx.
On the ticket machine, website or app select your destination as Sauze d’Oulx and your departure as Torino Porta Nouva (input “Torino” to see your list of options).
If just getting a train ticket to Oulx, you will select your destination as Oulx-Cesana-Claviere-Sestriere.
The train you will get is one to Bardonecchia. The stop you will get off at is Oulx.
Always make sure to validate (physical ticket) or activate your ticket on the Trenitalia app.
The ticket is validated by inserting into a little machine near the platform. If you’re not sure, watch what other people do. Without validating your ticket you can be given a hefty fine.
This is where you will get the bus to Sauze d’Oulx
As you exit the railway station at Oulx, turn left and, at the end, you will see the bus stop. Usually there are a few buses waiting, but don’t worry if not, they will eventually turn up!
If you are getting a taxi from here to your Sauze d’Oulx accommodation, the taxi will be waiting at the front of the station.
Buying tickets onboard will cost plus 1 Euro in addition to the normal ticket fee. If you have bought a Vialattea Link ticket to Sauze, you will already have your ticket for the bus.
Most buses connect with the train services, usually 10 minutes or so after the train’s arrival except around midday.
*The final bus each day from Oulx to Sauze d’Oulx is at 19.45 (weekdays) and 19.15 (Sundays and holidays)
The bus takes 10-15 minutes to get to Sauze. The bus may stop at various places en-route.
For Jouvenceaux, you will need to exit the bus at Bar Jouvenceaux.
For Sauze d’Oulx, the final stop (where the bus will come to a complete stop), is near the roundabout as you come into Sauze.
